Q. I wanted to pay by credit card, but when I was redirected to PayPal it asked me for my PayPal login instead.
A. On the left side of that
first PayPal screen just above the credit card logos is a small
Continue
button. Click that button and the next page
will ask for your credit card and other reservation info. (In
our humble opinion it probably should have gone directly to this page in the first place. While we love the management convenience of the PayPal merchant site, and they help keep our rates down by charging very reasonable fees, we respectfully suggest this one aspect of their site needs reconsideration. We blame their overzealous marketers still trying to convert the entire world to PayPal.)
Q. Why are the Base Rates
shown on the Vacancy Search Results page
higher than the current Special?
A. The Base Rate is just that,
and is shown on the Vacancy Search Results
page to allow you to pick between room types
by approximate price. Specials lower than the
base rate will be correctly reflected on the
Preview Pricing screen (if they're not, please
call so we can fix it).
Q. Why when I click
Preview Pricing is the rate used higher than the Base Rate?
A. We do have seasonal rates
which are higher than the base rate for the
period December 20th to March 31st.
Q. The rate on your home page shows $99
to $109 per day, but the base rate for that unit is $109 a day. How do I get the $99 daily rate?
A. If you reserve for a week
or more, there is a $10 per day discount for
each unit ($20 a day for the Garden Ohana).
This is reflected in the weekly rate. If the
Preview Pricing screen is employing a weekly
rate instead of a daily one, you have
qualified for the lower weekly rate. If you're
unsure, divide the weekly rate shown on the
Preview Pricing screen by seven, your answer
should be the $99 daily rate or it's
equivalent. Note that this will vary for busy season
reservations.
Q. Why does it invoice me for 5 days when I only wanted 3?
A. Each room has a minimum stay requirement that varies by time of year and
room. Aximize is set up to charge you for the additional days instead of warning that you haven't met the minimum. Resolution:
if you don't want the extra days, try calling or emailing us - we often accept those reservations; especially if it's for an opening in the immediate future. You may also
try changing the room you want to one with a
lower minimum stay. The Garden Ohana and Wasabi Suite have higher 5-day minimums while the Hibiscus, Mill & Plantation rooms have smaller 3-day ones (please note that those minimums change to 7 and 5 days respectively during the busy season).
Q. There's a security
deposit being charged, do I get all that back?
A. When you do not
damage your room you receive the majority of your deposit
back when your stay with us is complete less a
modest cleaning fee embedded in the security
deposit. For complete details including
